During this conflict a virus was uploaded to Morda Vael’s systems by the brave inventor Jeht, and afterwards the tower itself was braved by 5-8 heroes led by Koros Satori where Trello was defeated and Baetylus, the archon of wrath Trello planned to summon, was sealed away.

It was only hundreds of years later where order was restored upon the founding of the Ferngulf Republic and Empire of Morda Vael.

Afterwards, the sun falls down to the earth and merges with the dark god's vessel, the soup combining with the body to rebirth the embodiment of despair. All of humanity is consumed to become part of the false god due to the curse of the skin, and the ones that do survive are eventually killed off once the tree of life collapses.
Deep One: Incredibly powerful dreads dwelling in the deep ocean depths that feast on human fear and are the arch enemy of the merfolk. They are led by three dread deities: Moon Lord Kathunid, Bottom Feeder Dagon, and Wakeless Azathoth.

Devon Hartmut: A human general who started the Scouring War, believing dragons to be a threat to humankind after he saw his home village of Gerol slaughtered by mad dragons/drakens. He despises dragons and shows them no mercy, but he seems to have a soft spot somewhere deep down. He was the one who commissioned the Ragnarok Arms from Gavin Von Gungalive in order to stave off the dragons, who were far superior when it came to strength and magickal ability.
Divergence Point: A point where a worldline splits from another due to a major event in history.
Divine Spirits: Magickal spirit-beings that can bond to humanoids to grant them immense power. They can range from good to evil to neutral, and often take the form of legendary gods, heroes, and monsters from popular culture. Evil divine spirits are called “demons” and serve Elzakalas and his servants such as the archons. Demons can be purified into Divine Spirits if shown kindness and affection.
Dracorage: A deadly cognitive disease that can possess dragons who become consumed in too much emotion. The disease’s spread was halted for thousands of years by dragons sealing away much of their power to take human form (dragonkin) but the virus eventually mutated unnaturally thanks to the efforts of Gavin Von Gungalive (who was funded by the dark mage Xenoki) who artificially created a new strain of the dracorage that could cause even dragonkin to go insane. This eventually lead into the Scouring War and the almost entire genocide of the dragon race.
Dragon: A primordial species of warm-blooded, winged, highly magickal, reptilian-like lifeforms spawned directly from the seraphim. They come in many different tribes including the fire clan, ice clan, thunder clan, and earth clan. There are also divine dragons, dragons that can trace their heritage closely to the seraphim and who live for over 10,000 years, though at the cost of aging incredibly slowly. Normal dragons age like regular humans for their first 20 years, and afterwards only age one year for every five compared to humans. This causes them to have a lifespan of about 300-500 years, give or take. Once the dracorage hit sometime after the Second War, dragons were forced to change form into the dragonkin. The dragonkin were almost entirely wiped out in the Scouring War, but their descendants carrying their bloodline still live on and the primordial dragons who were slain in the war changed form into Divine Spirits, who would become inseparable allies during the conflicts to come.
Dragonkin: A dragon who has shed most of their immense magickal power to become more human-like. They still live for the same amount of time as they did before, but now are inseparable from regular humans minus their pointy ears and occasionally other traits, which tend to appear more frequently in female dragonkin. They can still transform into their original draconic forms, but only for a limited time using a special relic called a “dragonstone” which unleashes their sealed power for a short burst of energy. They were almost entirely wiped out by the end of the Scouring War.
Drakos: An intergalactic warlord who has lived for thousands of years thanks to his immortality-granting suit. Sought to conquer the entire tree of life, but was defeated by Titanium Woman. In the altered history timeline, he perished thousands of years ago due to his suit being powered by titanic energy.

Element: A primordial force of the universe used as the building blocks of the Tree of Life. 6 main ones exist with many sub-groups within each one. They include Fire, Water, Thunder, Nature, Light, and Darkness. Some sub-elements include Lava and Metal, (fire) Ice, Snow, Steam, and Sea, (Water) nuclear and cyber, (Thunder) Earth, Stone, Plant, Wind, Poison, and Storm, (Nature) Holy, Healing, Aura, Smite, and Bless (Light), and Void, Gravity, Curse, Phantom, Mind, and Death. (Dark) There are also the Almighty and Celestial elements, but those can usually be categorized as stronger forms of light magick or even godly or divine arts.
Elemental Titans: The three titans Surtur, Ymir, and Typhonus, created by Elzakalas to serve as biological weapons to be used in the primordial spirit war. They were sealed within the Entombed Planet before being released by Drakos during his fight with Titanium Woman. They they proceeded to make their way to the Central Dogma in order to destroy and reset the universe as part of Archon Astraphantos’ plan. However Titanium Woman used her time wish to erase the titans from existence, but was stopped by Seraphim Kairos who used his time stopping powers to prevent the wish from going through and brought Titanium Woman to the temporal crux. Titanium Woman convinced Kairos to switch sides and together they defeated and purified Astraphantos back into Mekalia. The wish went through and the titans were erased from existence.
Ellum - The god of all things and the creator of the entire omniverse. He is the embodiment of light, truth, purity, and all things good. Despite using he/him pronouns he possesses traits of both men and women. He transcends regular reality and this has no "true" name, but his followers call him Ellum solely out of habit. By the time of the main series, very few people still worship Ellum, preferring to worship Mekala’s angelic creations the seraphim instead.
Elzakalas - A word composed of three different words in the primordial tongue. "El", (god) "Za", (final) and Kalas. (darkness) This fully translates as "final dark god." Ryuuta, spawn of the seraphim Valfa, began to call himself this after falling to darkness by the temptations of Chaos and being lost in Limbo, the darkness beyond time. The most evil being in existence and the overarching big bad of the series, he seeks to destroy the tree of life and ascend to the celestial realm in order to “become real.” All the archons fought throughout the series are his incarnations. He has destroyed numerous worlds before coming to Zutara including Circlia, Floralia, Galaxio, Logarde, Val, and Anima.
Enochian Pillars: Ancient pillars once known as the Ruby Pillar, spowered by seraphic energy and created by Natasha Neibros using the Shadow Fount. They were later repurposed by the angel Metatron which would be used in a worse case scenario to reshape the world if the world was ever irreversibly destroyed. After the false one Krisaphine Khan obtained the Zohar Artifact, they used the relic to gain control of the enochian pillars to begin shaping the world to their own twisted desires.
Eos: The archon of lust, an malevolent spirit who possessed Kristine Khan through the false grail and caused them to become the false one.
Ethos: Also known as the “life reaper,” he appears as a masked angel wearing white and gold robes and carrying a scale. His job is to give life to newborns and feed them the Breath of Ellum to grant them an immortal soul.
Executioner GeroGero: One of the Seven Septillion whose job it is to reap timelines that have gotten too out of hand as well as beings of chaos that do not belong. When you hear a gust of wind late at night that sounds like a woman loudly screaming, that’s the executioner going on yet another hunt across the cosmos.
Exodus Foundation: An evil megacorporation that created the Nephilhim Code, enhancing humanoids possessing cybernetic enhancements to godly levels, but removing their sense of empathy and conscience. They are led by Johannes Exodus, aka the archon Pranola in disguise, but were defeated by Sakura Satori during the 13th Calamity.
False One: The one prophesied by the sage Merlin during the Age of the Grail to be a “false messiah at the time the two worlds merge.” This prophecy ended up coming true when Kristaphine Khan obtained the Zohar Artifact and began to mess with the laws of reality, inadvertently bringing both worlds together again and causing the dreaded Incursion.
False Grail: A pseudoregelia created by Natasha Neibros that was created using the Shadow Fount. It is a device that grants immortality to whoever drinks from it, but also twists them into a horrific, monstrous form. Upon being sealed within the farplane in ended up being possessed by Eos the Archon of Lust, who manipulated events to get the false grail in the hands of Kristine Khan the False One, who could cause the Incursion and bring forth an era of chaos and madness across the realms that would hasten the prince of darkness’ awakening. It was also used by the fell knight Mordred during the era of King Arthur, but Arthur defeated Mordread and the grail was sealed away once again by splitting the worlds of man and magick in twain.
False Hydra: A undead/demon hybrid created by a massive amount of regret combined with fell magicks and toxic nuclear energy. It created a horrific blood-soaked uncanny beast with sickly white skin and greatly distorted features who stalked the deepest depths of the accursed well for over 800 years feasting on human flesh to birth its “spawn” before being slain by the hero Koros and his allies.
Farplane: A realm outside normal reality that is incomprehensible to beings not of it and merely gazing into its depths for seconds can cause even the sanest of individuals to go completely mad from the unspeakable horrors held within. In the farplane, biology and anatomy and structure have no meaning, reality itself is folding and interlocking with itself, bug-like phantasms crawl against your inner SKIN and the walls at the same time, eyes are within the eye and the mouth is full of ears with tongues and reverse fingers. Nothing makes sense, everything is null. All matter is nullified and turned into unspeakable mush, turning inside out and out again into a blog of incomprehensible horror. There is no meaning anywhere here, only madness. Chaotic, all-consuming, madness.
Fathrus: The first and only emperor of the Gortoro Empire who sought to create a world without gods. He was once a simple tomb raider who became possessed by Archon Adonis’ evil spirit upon stealing the cursed tome Ars Goetia, but was defeated by Rose Satori and Adonis banished to the underworld.
Fefnir: A divine spirit that helped Sakura Satori defeat the Exodus Foundation. In the simulated world of Generica, he was known as Bob.
Ferngulf Republic: A nation that existed from 2200 AF to 3100 AF that was the first nation in recorded history to use a democratic form of government. It fell after the senate fell to corruption and the “Senatorial Crusade” began causing the church to take over the government and create a theocratic communist country called the Theocracy of Eternia. Though the new church-led government mostly allowed their separate city states to do their own thing, making the new country more of a confederacy than a theocracy.
Fifthism: An incomprehensible "religion" that worships the number 5. Their god is Five, an eldritch deity who is said to appear as a giant cosmic starfish.
Fifth Cubical Sector Disorder (FCSD): A serious cognitive illness that causes individuals who catch it to become raging cultist lunatics who worship the number five. The illness can only be spread by the minds of the unaffected and affected interlinking, so it is relatively hard to catch and easy to contain.
Final History: A worldline featuring all games in the Chronicles of Chronicles series besides the Chronicles of Heroes series, with some small changes pre-CoH in the timeline. The divergence point in the Primordial Spirit War where Elzakalas’ experiment to create the Elemental Titans failed, preventing the titans from ever existing and thus the War of the Sages to never occur.
Five - An eldritch deity embodying the "number 5" who spreads a cognitive virus called "Fifth Cubical Sector Disorder'' or FCSD across the multiverse. People who have the virus begin to behave strangely, preaching some bizzare doomsday religion called "Fifthism'' that is completely incomprehensible to 99% of the population and who's ideas, concepts, and beliefs cannot be comprehended by anyone not infected with the cogitovirus. The people who obtain the virus usually prefer to separate themselves from society to form underground cults where they can worship their lord and master "five" or the "starfish god" in peace. It is completely unknown what their goals are, but it's likely to spread the virus further. It is completely unknown what causes the virus, but theories suggest that the virus first enters a starsphere by some individual having brain damage and becoming connected to the farplane, the realm of eternal madness outside of normal reality. Five then meets with the madman in their dreams, its mere presence infecting them with the virus. Then, though unknown means, the virus spreads to more and more people until it infects the entire starsphere, though luckily that hasn't happened so far and the one starsphere that got close (Letapopple) got completely obliterated by the Ragnarok Cannon. According to Guts, the only person in the multiverse who escaped the fifthist cult, albeit through his own death, fiftists perform a forbidden magickal ritual to connect someone's brain with another already infected brain to willing participants who desperately want to "learn the truth of fifthism." By that point, it is too late for them and they just become another mindless cultist.
First Arcadia: A kingdom ruled by the seraphim from 0 AF to 1000 AF where peace and prosperity reigned between the three main races of Zutara: dragons, alfar, and humans. However it was destroyed from within by Seraphim Mordu the seraphim of earth, who killed Nargi the Dragon Queen before declaring himself Archon Adonis and beginning the first war.
Flesh Machines: What all forms of life actually are. In primordial times, Mekala the High Aeon desired to create physical vessels for the light spirits to inhabit so that they can obtain knowledge and form. Mekala first tried with machines made out of metal and wire, but the light spirits rejected them. Mekala then came up with an idea, to build the same machines but instead of using mechanical parts he would use the flesh of the dark god Elzakalas to create machines of flesh and bone. It was a success and the light spirits accepted the vessels, but due to Lucifer's Wrath the vessels would quickly die out due to the exterminating nuclear rays. So, reluctantly, Ellum gave life "SKIN" formed from the essence of his arch nemesis, Kalas, tainting all life with imperfection in the process.
Floralia: The sister-world to Circlia ruled by the beautiful Flower Queen. After The Flower Queen betrayed King Zax of Circlia, Elzakalas manifested and destroyed both their worlds, beginning the Primordial Spirit War.
Flower Queen: The ruler of Floralia that was betrothed to King Zax of Circlia before she betrayed Zax and both their worlds were destroyed by Elzakalas.
Future History: The worldline that Trello hails from. A utopia where humanoids live in peace and comfort off the backs of artificial mass-produced lifeforms called Minos. Trello was one of these Minos, and was radicalized to desire the total destruction of the world order, a wish he was granted when he was sent 2000 years into the past in order to put his master plan into motion.
Galamoth: An archdemon who once manipulated the Time Reaper Chronos into reaping an entire world due to spheric interference from a parallel starsphere, but was defeated by an alternate universe version of Philip Von Giest and was sent spiraling back into the abyss.
Gortoro Empire: An empire founded by Emperor Fathrus in opposition to Magia-Zophia that possessed state anti-theism. It fell apart after Emperor Fathrus was killed by Rose Satori and Second Arcadia established.
Guts Mooncrusher: The son of Tayo Mooncrusher and Zenith Von Zerithia. He ran away from home at age 16 to pursue a life of fame, fortune, and adventure, but became infamous for how much of an absolute idiot he was and how much trouble he got up to. Regardless, he got laid with many a maiden, but never cared about any of his kids since he was unaware where babies came from despite sleeping with countless women. Thus he left a long lasting legacy of children with the last name of Mooncrusher, and while revered by some for being descended from the Great Sage himself, they were also called “the children of the fool” after their progenitor, the infamous Sir Guts the Foolish. Guts would later be reborn as an undead since he didn’t remember ever dying, and was immune to Lucifer's Wrath because he was to stupid for the anti-knowledge barrier to work.
Imaginary Number Domain: A realm that doesn’t exist made out of the fabled “imaginary number” (zeroth) and one of the two realms that form the foundation of the lower domain.
Infinity: The ultimate theron ability wielded by Boltman/Titantium Woman, allowing them to copy any other theron ability and use it for themselves, albeit at a lower level. An infinite number of theron abilities can be stored and used, making Infinity the strongest theron ability by far.
June Morris: A young woman who after a botched mission had her consciousness preserved and reborn as a half-robotic biometal. She then sought revenge against the mad scientist Amelia Burns and to save her lover Prima, who was transformed into Amelia’s mindless robotic slave Prima.

Kathunid: The strongest of the dread deities, whose soul was sealed within the moon and whose body was split into many fragments. Thus he is known as the moon lord. Aaron Crowe as well as his younger sister Cynthia Crowe both made a gias with Kathunid in order to retain their youth, but were both defeated by various incarnations of Valfa.
Knowledge: The power that gives beings form. The will to exist, the will to learn, to grow, that is knowledge. All living things possess knowledge, and the implanting of knowledge is how lifeforms gain spiritual awareness and therefore free will.
Letapopple - A starsphere full of small toy-like humanoids who do not possess arms or legs, only a stub for a lower body. They control all objects using telekinesis, possess telekinetically controlled plastic vehicles and technology, and worship clowns for some reason. They LOVE clowns. After the mayor of their largest city contracted FCSD, Fifthism spread across the starsphere like a plague due to the populace’s overly-trusting and childish nature and their inability to comprehend evil. The only way to stop the awakening of the Eldritch God Five was to completely blow up the starsphere using the Ragnarok Cannon.
Limbo: Also known as the darkness beyond time, it is one of the 12 outrealms and is known as the boundless void where dead timelines go to die. Timelines reaped by Executioner GeroGero and her servants the reapers Neibros, Ethos, Chronos, and Phil. It is also the gatewall between regular reality and realms outside such as the imaginary number domain, the original number domain, and the farplane. Traveling far enough in Limbo also allows one to break reality and time travel, though this has only happened once and resulted in a predestined closed time loop. (safe class)
Lower Domain: The fictional dimension below the celestial realm that is made up by the current Tree of Life and all the worlds held within. The form of the lower of domain is based on the current prophet, and their cognition directly influences all aspects of it. Most of reality is contained within the lower domain.
Lucifer: The morning sun. The massive ball of light and plasma that sits on top of the night sky, falling in the evening and rising in the morning. Its light is what keeps the dead asleep in endless slumber and gives stability to this dark world, but it is destined to eventually go berserk, turn into the dreaded Red Sun, and prompt Daybreak, the end of all things. The sun Lucifer is also fully sentient and is far from benevolent, seeking to control humanity instead of letting them prosper.
Lucifer's Wrath: A mechanism in the being known as Lucifer, the sun, that shines nuclear rays down to the earth that banish undead creatures, the bodies and spirits of the deceased who refuse to move on due to their regret. These rays cause the undead forces to exist in a dreamless sleep, unable to wake to haunt the world of the living. However, in the places where light does not shine such as at night or in deep, dark caverns, the undead will rise to haunt the night once more and feast upon the flesh of the living to empower themselves. The light is harmless to beings made from flesh and blood, but extremely dangerous to beings full of wicked magick.
Mammon: The archfiend of greed who appears as a massive golden wheel with a female face in the middle.
Matsema: The archfiend of wrath who appears as a crimson, snake-like, demonic angel. His alliances are unclear, claiming to serve Ellum, Bael, and even Chaos all at different times. He is also known as "The Satan," the "Tempter of Fools" and the "Angel of Sin." He is said to be the one who came up with the idea of implementing SKIN, but no one knows what his true goals were in ensuring that SKIN was implemented to living creatures.
Mekalia: The high aeon and the creator of the seraphim. She is the aeon of light, order, and purity who created the seraphim out of the flesh of the prince of darkness Elzakalas. She was eventually corrupted by her wicked brother Elzakalas into the archon Astraphantos, but was purified by Titanium Woman at the end of True History.
Merfolk: Beautiful humanoids with the upper body of a human and the lower body of a shimmering, sparkly, highly flexible fish tail. They are 75% female and come in 3 distinct tribes: salmon tails, chromatic tails, and metallic tails. Salmon Tails are the majority of merfolk and have tails very reminiscent of the dull colors of various species of fish and other ocean creatures. Chromatic Tails are merfolk that possess colorful, sparkly, shimmering tails of various bright primary or secondary colors and can possess red, orange, yellow, green, blue, or purple tails. Chromatic Tails can only be female, as all male merfolk without royal blood are salmon tails. Metallic Tails are merfolk possessing royal blood, and can have tails of various metallic colors such as gold, silver, bronze, or platinum. Merfolk do not possess immortal souls and thus turn to seaform when they die, but if they marry another humanoid they can gain an immortal soul that’s able to pass on to the left life. However as a result they become soul bonded to their partner and thus die when they die and vice versa. They were created by Seraphim Vorpo and are ruled over by Vorpo’s incarnation, King Neptune.

There are 12 outrealms in total and some spread beyond the area contained along the ring, funneling into separate pocket dimensions. They range both from a light and dark scale as well as from a lawful or chaotic scale. Some outrealms are idyllic and peaceful like Arcadia, Feywild, Elysium, or Erebus while others are full of danger and countless horrors such as Mechanus, Ysgard, The Abyss or the Beastlands.
Original Number Domain - A realm that embodies the origin of all things (original number “Oun”) and is one of the two foundational realms that make up the lower domain.
Phil: The strongest of the reapers who is meant to keep the other reapers in line if they go outside their duties. Thus he is known as the "anti reaper," but he is also known for his jovial, lighthearted, and sometimes very silly demeanor and appearance that doesn't really fit his role and what he's supposed to be at all. Some say he is from a different reality entirely due to his out of place he is, but none can say for certain.
Philip Von Giest - The son of Vampire Kaiser Mathias and a half vampire, or Dampyr, himself. His mother was an alchemist killed during the reign of the Mekalian Church for "witchcraft" who used her potions to help the sick and needy. She desired a miracle cure for a disease racking her village, and after trying everything visited the rumored "demon castle" to try to get help from more… dubious sources. There she met the Lord of the Castle, Mathias Von Giest, who introduced to her so-called "forbidden knowledge," Magick, which was seen as evil by the ruling Mekalian Church. The girl, named Elizabeth, used the magick she learned from Mathias to greatly improve her potions, and Mathias and Elizabeth slowly fell in love, eventually bearing a half vampire son they named Philip. However, soon after, Elizabeth was burnt at the stake for so-called "witchcraft," enraging Mathias who then declared war on humanity. Philip opposed his father and once he became old enough helped Rose Satori defeat his father who decided to leave for a solitary life within the badlands, swearing that he would one day return more powerful than ever to get his revenge on the living no matter how many generations it takes. Philip afterwards would go into a deep slumber only to awake when the elemental balance started to go out of wack and his father declared war on humanity once again. He later joined Sero's mercenary band who helped him take down his father one last time, but he was badly injured during the Great Vael Incursion and only survived because of his vampiric bloodline, deciding to heal in the fountain of life in order to recover and get his revenge on Sero who seemingly betrayed him.
Predestined Closed Time Loop: The time loop created when Ryuuta passed the event horizon in the Temporal Crux and entered into limbo, the darkness beyond time where he was manipulated into becoming Elzakalas by Chaos in the form of Nyako. Elzakalas was then sent back to the very beginning of the current Tree of Life's existence where he emerged from the womb of the prophet. Elzakalas then would be the direct cause of Ryuuta even being born in the first place due to Baetylus causing Tayo's death causing Koros to get with Zenith causing Mikoto to be born who would then give birth to Ryuuta who would then potentially become the dark god's vessel, creating an infinite closed time loop that is already predestined because otherwise Ryuuta could have never been born to begin with to begin the loop.
Primordial Tongue - An arcane language only able to be spoken by those that have "awakened." It is composed of seemingly meaningless phrases or sections of words often repeated, but the emotions subconsciously sealed within as well as facial movements tell the words true nature. An example of a phrase in the celestial tongue is "Elto Tai Katsumo Valno Etay Utso Oletay Veko Kabe Kuni Chaba" (God is my champion and He will not fail me.)
Prophet: A celestial being chosen by Ellum to create a new tree of life and therefore a new cycle of the lower domain. The current one is Barbello.
Providence: The will of God, or Ellum, and his prophet for everything to occur exactly as was pre-ordained.
Pseudoregalia: An artificial regalia created through fell magicks that is oftentimes even stronger than real regalia, but much more unstable.
Ragnarok Cannon - An interspheriary laser cannon powered by dark matter that has been operated by the angels since the beginning of time as a last-ditch resort to destroy starspheres that get too close to a Class-V Armageddon event. It was stolen and modified by the interplanetary warlord Emperor Drakos some time ago to use as his ultimate weapon, which was later destroyed by Titanium Woman, a superhero and another incarnation of Valfa.
Red Sun: The sun's evolved state that it reaches after collecting enough knowledge and emotion through humanity's soul data. When this happens the sun turns bright red and causes any biological being possessing SKIN who meets its gaze to become liquidized. Then all liquidized lifeforms eventually converge into the Beast of Kalas, the physical vessel for the current satan whose soul is held within the Red Sun. The Red Sun then falls upon the world, merging with the Beast of Kalas to form the Dark God who then proceeds to destroy the lower domain and attempt to ascend to the higher one. This is when the forces of Ellum fight against the Dark God, destroying him and sending the vessel into Gehenna, the pit of eternal flames. After this Ellum recreates the world by choosing a prophet and having them plant a Cosmic Egg to birth a new world, the new world they create being formed from the prophet's desires, ideals, and even flaws.
Regalia: A legendary weapon or artifact formed when an aeon’s physical body perishes.
Ryuuta: The legendary demiseraph who will either bring eternal peace to the omniverse or eternal despair. A version of Ryuuta from one timeline became Elzakalas, the current incarnation of Kalas the god of darkness, while one from another timeline became the universe's savior and a champion of Ellum who defeated and even redeemed his other self. Many other versions of Ryuuta exist, such as one whose anima and animus was split to become Kairos' "children" Jim and Pim and another who became the reincarnation of the fell dragon Adonis, an incarnation of Elzakalas which is also himself.
Bael: The current demon king and a reincarnation of the archon Adonis. Is the archfiend of pride and appears as a massive three headed purple skinned humanoid demon with 6 wings, 6 horns, and 6 arms.
Samsara: The eternal cycle of death and rebirth of the universe as dictated by Ellum, the one most high. At the beginning of each world's creation Ellum chooses a single celestial as his prophet, granting them a golden seed known as a "cosmic egg" that when planted will form into a new tree of life (Sefiros) whose worlds are based on the prophet's hopes, dreams, desires, and even flaws. Once the world has run its course, daybreak occurs and the abomination of desolation awakens, destroying the tree and beginning the final battle of that cycle. Once the final battle ends, a new cycle begins and yet another tree is planted. This has happened thousands of times throughout the history of the celestial realm, and will happen many more.
Scouring War: A war between dragonkin led by the dragonlord Yazna Dragonheart and humans led by King Devon Hartmut of the Bernag Empire. It resulted in the near-extinction of the dragon race as well as a calamity that wiped out most life on the continent and a 5 year long elemental winter.
Scoured History: A worldline where Devon won the Scouring War and created a world of human supremacy, wiping out the other races and creating a world of only humans, rewriting history to favor him and his side in the war. The divergence point is Ryuuta dying during Chapter 18 of Chronicles: The Last Dragon’s Elegy instead of being revived.
Second Arcadia: A kingdom that lasted by 1100 AF to 1999 AF founded by the Council of Six, six legendary warriors across the continent of Lindwyrm. Went through 4 different councils before collapsing when the crimson meteor fell in 1999 AF.
Sefiros: A massive cosmic tree that hosts many fruits, each fruit containing a starsphere which then contains countless worlds within. It is destined to be destroyed upon the daybreak, but a new tree of life will be replaced soon after.
Seraphim: One of the highest order of angels who appear as gigantic six winged dragons made of light. There used to be 12 seraphim, but many of them defected to the side of darkness and others were slain but never replaced. Their leader used to be Nargi before she was killed by her brother Mordu who later became the fell dragon Adonis. Kairos and Valfa are but some among their number.
Seven Septillion: A group of 7 angels who watch over various aspects of the world and maintain its long-term stability. They include their leader Resolute Axler, the judge of souls, Greatsage Kir-Shen, the chronicle keeper, Executioner GeroGero, the reaper of the false, Baleful Sefalis, gardener of the tree of life, and many others.
Shattered History: A timeline resulting in a destroyed world and evolved terrors. Its divergence point stems from when Koros went back in time during the Shattered Route of Boundless;Domain in order to prevent Tayo’s death and ended up destroying the Tower of Babel from its foundation.
The Shattering: A form of the crimson calamity that took place upon Koros going back in time and altering the true history timeline from its fated path by destroying the Tower of Babel from its foundation. This divergence point leads to the events of Chronicles Black.
SKIN - A group of cells formed from the essence of Elzakalas made in order to protect the flesh machines from the power of Lucifer the False Sun. Due to the corrupted essence used to make skin, the skin causes a variety of issues for the light spirits trapped inside the flesh machines such as genetic abnormalities, mental disorders, disease, errors in sex development, and even death itself. (cellular decay)
Spheric Interference: When two starspheres data begins to overlap, it causes strange temporal errors across both starspheres.
Spirit of Light: The true form of humanoids that appears as an ever-changing, transcendent being of light that can change into any form at will. A spirit of light enters a sentient humanoid upon first breath and merges with that humanoids’ consciousness, gaining knowledge. Through their lives as mere mortals bound by their false flesh and under the gaze of Lucifer the Sun and the darkness of Kalas, they gain experience that will allow them to better understand Ellum, their creator. Before entering the physical world, the Spirits have no knowledge, and are just floating blobs of light unable to take true shape wandering mindlessly through Gruft, the spirit locker. That is why Mekala created the flesh machines, as only with the experience of the spirit’s immaterial essence living and merging with the false physical material living their mortal lives can the spirit gain the knowledge needed to take true shape.
Stardust History: A worldline whose divergence point is Dargo siding with Tika during the Second War instead of betraying Magia-Zophia. In this worldline the Ferngulf Republic is controlled by a corrupt megacorperation while in constant war with Gortoro, which survived to the modern day and became even more brutal following further emperors path Fathrus, all inheriting Archon Adonis’ evil spirit.
Starsphere: A cosmic orb held within one of the Tree of Sefiros' fruits. These orbs contain a myriad of planets, systems, and sometimes even galaxies, many hosting diverse sorts of life. Many starspheres contain different "cosmic rules" known as “Astral Orders” which are unknown to the majority of the population but are so ingrained into their reality that those secret rules are treated as normal. Starspheres naturally expand with more planets and systems the more spiritually enlightened the individuals in that starsphere are, but if the majority of the population is consumed with darkness and evil or enough mana is drained from the universal flow, the fruit containing the starsphere will rot until the entire fruit falls from the tree into the void below to be consumed by the sea of chaos.
Tayo Mooncrusher: The legendary “great sage” who sealed the archon Baetylus away at the cost of his own life during the Ozma-Babel Conflict. Not many people know this, but before becoming a priest Tayo lived a dishonorable life as a bandit, killing, looting, and pillaging as he pleased. However, that all changed when he was nearly killed during a raid on the city of Zerithia, where one of the villagers called out that he could still be redeemed in spite of his sins. Later he was nursed back to health by a kindly cleric, and afterwards strove to be a better person and redeem himself for his sins. Shortly before his death he bore a child with Zenith Von Zerithia, the new duchess of Zerithia, but perished before Lady Zenith could come to full term.
Telekinesis: A dark elemental art that allows one to control one or multiple objects with their mind. At high levels, this technique can be used even to operate complex machines.
Theron: Special powers granted to mortals by the theron mists after the use of magick was cut up from the collective human spirit following the War of the Sages. Theron can do almost anything, and the powers it grants to mortals are seemingly random, but are somewhat based on the personality of the user. The strongest theron ability is “Infinity”, the power of Boltman/Titanium Woman that allows him/her to copy any other theron ability and use it for himself/herself, albeit at a lower level than the original user.
Theron Mist: A strange mist-like substance emitted from an unknown source that when touched grants one theronic abilities.
Third Arcadia: A settlement created by the sage Astos as a place where humans and dragonkin could live in peace during the tumultuous time of the Scouring War. It was destroyed by Devon’s forces 17 years after its founding.
Timeline: One of an infinite number of parallel worlds existing within one timestream and within one starsphere. These timelines can be traveled between using the forbidden art of time travel, and many major and minor timelines exist. Major timelines are called “worldlines” and are split by major events in the timelines called Divergence Points. An infinite number of timelines exist within a worldline each with small, minute differences, but similar events will always take place within each worldline that always results in the same conclusions due to providence.
Time Travel: A forbidden magickal technique that allows one to transcend to the Will of Ellum and alter reality as you please, often with dire consequences. It is incredibly dangerous to time travel as altering even the smallest thing in history can cause drastic effects on the timeline, so don’t be surprised if you and your entire new timeline are deleted by the Reapers due to causing things to go too far off the rails. The world will not miss you, and they won’t remember you either. Goodbye.
Time Wish: A special theronic ability that allows the user to make a wish unbound by the rules of providence.
Tower of Babel: A superweapon created by Morda Vael in 2989 AF that could fire intercontinental blasts of seraphic energy that could destroy any large structure or settlement in its range. However, it’s real purpose was to serve as a beacon to summon forth the Archon Baetylus in order to cause the crimson calamity and destroy the world. After Koros and his allies defeated Trello and sealed away Baetylus, the tower fell into disrepair and was eventually demolished, creating Babel Ruins.
Trello: The mad prophet of Morda Vael who was sent 2000 years into the past and conspired to cause the second crimson calamity and end the world, as he believed that a world where everyone suffered equally was better than a world where the strong conquered the weak.
Trello’s History: A worldline where Trello was successful in causing the second crimson calamity and ending the world. The divergence point for this worldline is Trello arriving in the past.
True History: A destined timeline manipulated into creation by Seraphim Kairos, culminating in the Titans destroying the central dogma and resetting all of reality. This timeline was altered and final history created when Titanium Woman purified Astraphantos back into Mekalia and used her time wish to erase the titans from existence, saving the multiverse. The divergence point for this timeline stems from Trello’s history and is when Kairos bonded with the hero Koros 50 days before the second crimson calamity.
Tycho Mooncrusher: Tayo's descendent and Bronze Mooncrusher's son. He was a faun warrior that fought alongside Ryuuta in the Scouring War.
Undead: Beings who deny the cycle of life and death to instead embrace eternal existence. They are the enemy of all living creatures and their creator, Lord Ellum and his prophets. Some Undead, such as vampires, deny the cycle willingly, while others, such as certain terrors, do so out of fear, anger, and regret, emotions that lead many to be taken over by Baetylus’ Curse.
Valfa: Second strongest of the seraphim who worked alongside Chaos to grant humanity divine knowledge, who at the time were just mindless slaves to the seraphim and dragons. This knowledge granted humans the capacity for free will, but at the same time turned their clay bodies into flesh machines with SKIN and therefore dooming the world to its eventual Daybreak.
Worldline: A major timeline stemming from an attraction point. Where numerous timelines exist within each worldline, the ultimate events of each timeline within a singular worldline are very similar due to providence. Various wordlines have been explored in the Chronicles of Chronicles series, including the True History, Final History, Stardust History, Future History, Trello’s History, Shattered History, Scoured History, and Demon Dragon’s History have all been explored to different extents.
Zazrael: The form Ryuuta Satori took when becoming consumed with the demon dragon's power.
Zazrael-Alfael: Ryuuta's ultimate form as the demon dragon.
Zenith Von Zerithia: The beautiful duchess of Zerithia, a town of peaceful monsters that existed for a short period around the period of the Ozma-Babel Conflict. She was known for being extremely kind and caring, but also for being ferocious in battle and having a bit of a tomboyish streak. She later bore a child with the great sage Tayo Mooncrusher, but ended up marrying and bearing many children with Koros Satori, grandfather of Ryuuta Satori and incarnation of Valfa.
Zutara: The world where the majority of the Chronicles of Chronicles series takes place.
