Regelia and Pseudoregelia
Regelia and Pseudoregelia
When a Seraphim or other powerful divine being dies, their leftover divine energy usually manifests into a powerful relic or weapon of tremendous power. These relics are known as regelia, and only a few are known to exist. However, there also exists even more powerful relics known as Pseudoregelia, regelia created via artificial means, usually by forbidden elder magicks. While even more powerful than regular, naturally created regalia, they are often far more unstable and dangerous, usually requiring some sort of massive cost. Here is a list of all known regalia and pseudoregelia.
Ars Solaris I (Solaris Genesis): The original Ars Solaris formed from Seraphim Nargi’s discarded mortal corpse. Wielded by the legendary hero of the first war, Ryu Satori, the original Ars Solaris was used to completely destroy Archon Adonis, formerly known as Seraphim Mordu, leaving behind the Ars Goetia. After the war against Adonis, Ryu Satori threw the Ars Solaris into the ocean, causing the original Ars Solaris to be believed to have been lost forever. However, thousands of years later, the seraphic energies the blade emitted from deep in the ocean’s depths manifested and condensed into a formation of sacred ice known as the Tooth of Rangar. The inside of the iceberg was called Rangar’s Throat, and at the very bottom of Rangar’s Throat was the original Ars Solaris, sealed in ice and unable to be pulled out until someone who bears the brand of the seraphim arrives to claim the sword as their own.
Ars Goetia: A demonic tome containing untold dark magicks left behind when Archon Adonis was slain by Ryu Satori. Originally containing Archon Adonis’ evil spirit, it was sealed away in Ryu’s tomb in order for Ryu’s ambient seraphic energies from his firebrand to keep the evil tome sealed and Adonis’ spirit in check. When the thief and tomb raider Fathrus broke into Ryu’s tomb he stole the Ars Goetia, and thus became possessed by Archon Adonis’ evil spirit, becoming Adonis’ new mortal vessel within the world of the living. After Emperor Fathrus and a partially revived Adonis was defeated by Ryu’s granddaughter Rose Satori using the Pseudoregalia Ars Solaris II (Dark Solaris), Archon Adonis’s evil spirit was purged from the book and banished to the underworld, leaving the grimoire as merely a powerful source of evil magicks instead of literally holding the archon’s soul. This regalia was later used in creating the 7 Ragnarok Arms, pseudoregelias whose overuse led to the Scouring.
Ars Solaris IV (Solaris ReUnion): After the original Ars Solaris was reclaimed from Rangar’s Throat, it transformed, changing shape into the fourth Ars Solaris, the Solaris ReUnion. This blade was further upgraded with the primeval flames to become the strongest Ars Solaris ever, afterwards being used to completely destroy the soul of Archon Baetylus, saving the world from the threat of the crimson meteor forever. However, in doing this the original Ars Solaris shattered into pieces, its pieces later gathered and coalesced into 6 sigils that were given to various world leaders for safekeeping in case the power of the Ars Solaris was needed again.
Solaris V (Solaris Tetra): A brand-new Ars Solaris crafted by Ryuuta and his allies gathering the 6 Sigils, each which contained a fragment of the Solaris ReUnion/Solaris IV, and quickly became the most powerful Ars Solaris ever. This Ars Solaris, when clashing with 8 other pseudoregelia, ended up single-handedly causing the Scouring, the most deadly calamity since the Crimson Calamity nearly 3000 years earlier. After the war the Ars Solaris was thrown into Gruft the Spirit Locker, never to be again seen by mere mortals.
Zohar Artifact: A special pyramid-shaped device that records the data, souls, memories, thoughts, souls, beliefs, of all beings who have ever lived in that world, normally held within each world’s Central Dogma (universal core). After a world is destroyed and its starsphere is consumed by the primordial chaos of Tehom, the Void Before Time, all data stored by the Zohar is transmitted up the roots of the Sefiros, the World Tree, into the ELLUM UNIT (avatar of the TRUE GOD and visionary overseer of all worlds) in order to be "recycled" in the creation of future worlds. If one possesses a Zohar Artifact, they can use it to gain access to the Akashic Records, the records stored within each Zohar that holds infinite power and knowledge inside. Using the power of the akashic records the bearer of the zohar can alter reality on a massive scale and gain unbelievable god-like power only rivaled by the current Prophet or Prophetess. The Zohar Artifacts were created by the people of True Neo in the 100 million years between the end of Z-Ninja NEO and the end of their universe, who became an ultra-advanced immortal primordial race called “the ancients” who created the Zohar Artifacts in order for their world to obtain True Immortality across not just the lower domain, but the upper domain as well. Due to anomalies in space and time caused by Emily Jones time traveling nearly 10,000 years into the past in the year 8015 AC (2015 CE), a rift in time and space 20 years later in 8035 AC (2035 CE) allowed the mad criminal Kris Khan to gain access to Zutara’s Zohar which they then used to gain access to the Akashic Records and become a god. However, Kris Khan’ access to the Akashic Records was blocked by the brave actions of the Fairy Fencers, causing Kris Khan to activate Plan B, which was also stopped by a group of OPTIC rookies led by Sterling Snow. Activating Plan C, Kris Khan summoned the Unholy Grail from the Dimensional Rift to gain a new source of power, unwittingly unsealing the long-sealed Archon Eos who then merged with Kris Khan to create the True Eos Avatar: Infinity Darkheart, who was smited by the revival of the Prophetess Barbello, who used the Sefirotic Wand to destroy Infinity Darkheart completely, saving the multiverse.
Solaris II (Dark Solaris): An artificial Ars Solaris created by Rose Satori to defeat Emperor Fathrus. It was created using the ritual of the dark flame, transforming Rose’ blade the shadowbrand into a near-perfect replica of the Ars Solaris. It contains the soul of Dargo Hardner, who was sacrificed in order to create the sword. After the Second War against the Gortoro Empire and Emperor Fathrus that ended in Archon Adonis’ second defeat, the Solaris II was split into 4 elemental shards that were then scattered across the newly formed Kingdom of Second Arcadia and hidden underground in special shrines, only emerging when another who beared the firebrand awakened.
Shadow Amulets: A set of 4 amulets containing fragments of the prince of Darkness Elzakalas. 3 of them were destroyed by the sage Lumina, while the fourth fell into the Dark Foundry and was spent spiraling across space and time, eventually ending up in 8015 AC (2015 CE), over 10,000 years into the future. It was picked up by Emily Jones, a half alfar woman from that time, who was then sent 10,000 years back in time by the amulet’s power. While in that time she confronted the Order of Six of that time and inadvertently caused the Crimson Calamity. While she attempted to stop it, it was too late, and everything was destroyed by the calamity. Near death, she was spared by the prophetess and sent back to her own time where she then destroyed the amulet, creating a split timeline where the crimson calamity never happened. The shadow amulets among other pesudoregelia were created by the alfar Nocturna using the Dark Foundry.
Zero Gear: Another psuedoregelia created by the alfar witch Nocturna using the Dark Foundry. It is a massive mechanical structure that resembles an animus forge. It feeds on humanoid souls to power itself, which it then consumes to grant a single wish. It was disassembled and buried deep underground by the sage Lumina, but was found thousands of years later by Morda Vael during a mining expedition. King Mordeus XIII believed the device to be too dangerous and locked it away in his personal vault, but Regent Harumi wanted to use the Zero Gear for her own goals. So Harumi planned a conspiracy to impersonate the king to subvert the Morda Vael government to gather enough human souls to power the Zero Gear and have someone assassinate the king for her so she could use the Zero Gear to gain infinite power and become a goddess, reviving her dead family and recreating the world in her image. To this end she manipulated Sero Omnis to perform her dirty work for her, and after the truth was revealed merged with the Zero Gear, becoming the mechanical goddess Harumi.EXE. She was defeated by Sero and her allies, but then Sero selfishly decided to use the Zero Gear to revive those that had been inadvertently killed by her own hands, becoming just as bad as Harumi. Sero’s friends stopped her by disabling the Zero Gear’s current power source, the 4 elemental crystals of Morda Vael, which also trapped Sero’s soul within the machine. Her body left without a soul, Harumi’s lingering spirit possessed Sero’s body and their consciousnesses merged, forming into Dark Sero. Dark Sero killed her former friend Mia and gravely injured her other two friends Bronze and Philip, and went onto Harumi's Plan B: open Tayo’s Gate, rumored to be the entryway to the world of the dead, in order to revive everyone.
Ruby Pillars (Enochian Pillars): Also known as the Enochian Pillars, these 22 pillars made out of obsidian and ruby have the ability to exploit the world’s leylines in order to alter reality on a large scale. However, using them drains a tremendous amount of ether (magickal energy), requiring some sort of large-scale energy source. Created by Nocturna using the Shadow Foundry, the sage Lumina sealed them deep underground along with the Zero Gear. However they were discovered by the rebels during the 13th Calamity, who used them to call forth a flood of light to completely devastate the Nephilhim and save humanity, who escaped the planet on a spaceship known as Noah’s Arc. Enoch, an ally of Sakura Satori, hero of the 13th Calamity, sacrificed himself to become the Ruby Pillar’s arbiter, transfiguring himself into an angelic/mechanical creature known as Metatron but losing all free will in the process. Thus the Ruby Pillars were renamed to the Enochian Pillars in his honor.
Ruby Knife: A small pocketknife made out of sharpened ruby that has the ability to kill even immortal beings in a single blow. Wounds from the knife never heal, and the knife has the power to kill almost anything. It was created by Nocturna using the shadow fount, but was entrusted to the immortal Gold, Lumina’s friend, for safekeeping. Gold’s adopted son, Silver, eventually stole the knife and used it to kill Gold, stealing away his immortality for himself. However Silver was then defeated by Gold’s other adopted son Bronze, who then stole Silver’s immortality. However Gold’s immortality became weaker and weaker the more it was transferred, so Bronze eventually found his body beginning to break down, especially after being badly injured by Dark Sero. (Harumi in Sero’s body) However Bronze was healed by a dryad whose nectar could temporarily restore him, and together they bore a son: Tycho Mooncrusher. Later the dryad was killed by Devon Hartmut’s armies, causing Bronze to leave the forest as a wanderer. Falling apart, he came across the traveler Sojira, who used her alchemy skills to piece Bronze back together again with special alchemical runes, turning Bronze into a patchwork zombie-like creature, who she renamed Yamato and made him her retainer. The ruby knife was lost after that day where Bronze killed Silver, but some say it can still be out there somewhere…
Ragnarok Cannon: A massive cannon made out of FLESH created by Nocturna using the Shadow Fount. It has the ability to destroy entire planets. It was sent into space by the sage Lumina, but was found by the interspherary warlord Drakos and used for his plans of multi-universal conquest. It was destroyed in the True History timeline, but Drakos still wielded it in the Chosen History timeline until he was defeated in the bonus stage of Chronicles Stellar 2.
Ars Solaris III (Solaris Tri): The recreated form of the Solaris II (Dark Solaris) created when all four shards of the Ars Solaris were combined by the smith Amon. The sword was briefly used by Baron Ozma, and then by Koros Satori on his quest to defeat Trello and the Archon of Wrath Baetylus. However the sword was insufficient to defeat Baetylus was it was just a replica, only able to destroy his physical vessel rather than his immortal soul. However Baetylus was able to be defeated through the sacrifice of Koros’ friend Tayo, being sealed away in another dimension inside a mystical gate which would later be named “Tayo’s Gate.” After the battle Koros gave up the Ars Solaris to the Church of Nargi, who kept it safe for many years until the devastating Second Vaelian War 150 years later, which claimed the lives of both Koros and his lover Zenith. In the war the Ars Solaris was claimed by Morda Vael troops, who melted the blade down in order to create Animus Forges, special magitek devices that could mass produce animus, special magick-granting stones, at a previously unforeseen rate. Morda Vael quickly gained a massive advantage over Ferngulf and quickly won the war, subjugating Ferngulf and demanding a yearly tribute.
Exalis: The sword of Devon Hartmut and a pseudoregalia crafted by Gavin Von Gunglaive using the power of Ars Goetia. A sword that can change shape into a spear or a storm of blades and possesses the power of thunder, it is especially strong against dragons, able to easily piece their scales in any of its forms. It was abandoned by Xenoki after the Scouring, who after possessing Devon Hartmut’s body replaced it with a stronger dark replica of it.
Durandal: The sword of the champion Roland Nostrea, one of the Knights of Devon and one of Ryuuta’s former friends during his time in Arcadia. It was crafted by Gavin Von Gunglaive using the power of Ars Goetia and possesses the power of flame, able to burn away anything.
Armads: The axe of Dunban Berserkos, one of the members of the Knights of Devon. Like all the other pseudoregelia used during the Scouring War, it was created by Gavin Von Gunglaive using the power of Ars Goetia. It possesses incredible powers both in its strength and its ability to manipulate lightning, but comes with a curse that anyone who wields it will die gruesomely in battle.
Maltet: The lance of Baigen Icespear, one of the members of the Knights of Devon. Like all the other pseudoregelia used during the Scouring War, it was created by Gavin Von Gunglaive using the power of Ars Goetia. It possesses the power of ice and can pierce any dragon’s hide with ease.
Mulgalir: The bow of Hannon Lorca, one of the members of the Knights of Devon. Like all the other pseudoregelia used during the Scouring War, it was created by Gavin Von Gunglaive using the power of Ars Goetia. It possesses the power of wind and can rapid fire hundreds of homing wind arrows a second.
Ars Armadis: A mystical tome used by a replicant of the former archbishop Astos that holds the forbidden fire spell Forblaze. Like all the other pseudoregelia used during the Scouring War, it was created by Gavin Von Gunglaive using the power of Ars Goetia, and is actually a replica of Ars Goetia, just with the elder magicks held within replaced with anima magicks instead.
Ars Theurgia: A mystical tome used by a replicant of the archbishop Elene that holds the forbidden light spell Aureola. Like all the other pseudoregelia used during the Scouring War, it was created by Gavin Von Gunglaive using the power of Ars Goetia, and is actually a replica of Ars Goetia, just with the elder magicks held within replaced with light magicks instead.
